MyPet Privacy Policy Effective date: 16 October 2025 Last updated: 16 October 2025 This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the MyPet mobile application, the mypetcollars.com website, and the MyPet smart collar and related services (together, the "Services"). We comply with applicable privacy laws, including Türkiye's KVKK and, where relevant, the EU/UK GDPR. Terms like "personal data" and "processing" are used as defined in these laws. 1) Controller and Contact The Services are operated by Mypet Yazılım Teknolojileri A.Ş. ("MyPet", "we", "us"). We treat it with heightened care. d) Usage & Diagnostics ● Device/OS/browser type, app version, language ● Crash, performance and event logs ● In-app interactions for analytics (if consented) e) Communications & Support ● Messages you send us (email, in-app support, surveys, feedback) f) Subscription/Payments ● Plan type, status, and payment confirmations from our payment processor (We do not store full card numbers.) g) Photos/Media You Upload ● Images and attachments you choose to share in the app Sources. We collect data directly from you, your devices/smart collar, and from third-party providers that support our Services (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, maps, payments, identity providers such as Apple/Google Sign-In). 3) Why We Process Data (Purposes & Legal Bases) ● Provide the Services (set up accounts, pair collars, track activity/location you enable, geofence alerts, customer support). Legal basis: contract performance (GDPR 6(1)(b)); KVKK 5/2-(c). ● Improve and secure the Services (troubleshooting, usage analytics, performance, fraud/abuse prevention). Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR 6(1)(f)); KVKK 5/2-(f). ● Notifications (e.g., low battery, geofence/exiting safe zone, health/activity tips). Legal basis: your consent for push and background location (GDPR 6(1)(a) / KVKK explicit consent). ● Marketing communications (newsletters, offers), if you opt-in. Legal basis: consent; you can unsubscribe any time. ● Compliance (tax/financial record-keeping, lawful requests). Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms. 7) Retention Periods We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. ● Account & Pet Profiles: as long as the account remains active; after deletion request, we begin deletion and complete it within 30 days (unless legal retention applies). ● High-resolution GPS trails: 30 days, then deleted or reduced to aggregated summaries. ● App logs (diagnostics/security): 12 months. ● Analytics (if consented): 24–26 months or until you withdraw consent. ● Support tickets: 3 years. ● Billing/Tax records: 10 years (or as required by law). 8) Security We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including: ● Encryption in transit and at rest ● Access control and least-privilege permissions ● Multi-factor authentication for internal systems ● Logging and monitoring ● Regular vulnerability testing and remediation ● Vendor due diligence and contractual protections No method is 100% secure, but we continuously improve our controls. 9) Automated Decisions & Profiling We generate activity zones, daily goals, and recommendations based on sensor data. These features do not produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. You may disable certain personalized features in Settings. 10) Your Rights Depending on your location, you may have the right to: ● Access your data and obtain a copy ● Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data ● Delete your data (erasure) ● Restrict or object to processing (especially where based on legitimate interests) ● Data portability (where technically feasible) ● Withdraw consent at any time (does not affect prior lawful processing) How to exercise: Use in-app paths (Account → Privacy) or email us at privacy@mypetcollars.com. Complaints: ● Türkiye: You may apply to us first under KVKK and then lodge a complaint with the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu (KVKK). ● EEA/UK: You may lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority. 11) Children's Privacy The Services are not directed to children under 13. In the EEA/UK, if you are under 16, you may use the Services only with verifiable parental consent. If we learn we collected personal data from a child contrary to law, we will delete it. 12) Managing Preferences & Deleting Your Account ● Delete account: App → Account → Delete Account (or contact us). ● Location/Notifications: Control permissions in your device OS settings; disable background location or push at any time. ● Cookies: Use the Cookie Preference Center on our website. 13) Changes to This Policy We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post updates here and revise the "Last updated" date.
